A response: Open letter to Boe members
It’s rare to get a reply from anyone when you email the entire Board of Ed. So, when you do, it’s like opening up candy in the dark on Halloween. You know it’s a treat, but you’re not quite sure if it will be a malted milk ball or peanut M&Ms. It is my opinion that this reply from Ms. Reilly lacks the decorum you’d expect from an elected official representing a school district. Yet, aparently, I was being “unfair” in questioning why the BOE didn’t mention Ms. Gasparini.
To be clear, I questioned why no one on the BOE took the opportunity to mention or thank Ms. Gasparini for her 37 years in BHPS. (You can read my email in its entirety here: https://bhcommunitywatch.com/2021/06/11/open-letter-to-boe-members/) To accuse me of insinuating anything is untrue and, that, my friends, is unnecessary.
Not a single member from our elected Board of Education mentioned Ms. Gasparini at the 6/10/21 meeting – literally, not a whisper. Yet 2 members took the time to share their excitement over a new hire who happened to be present. This happened, it is a fact.
I’m looking forward to the “number of tributes and celebrations to honor” Ms. Gasparini as her retirement date approaches, per Ms. Reilly.
