7 months + 22 questions

I know the majority of the Board would rather I lose internet access indefinitely. Instead, their tactic is just to pretend my emails don’t exist (yes, this literally happened with an OPRA request – “oh no, it WAS in spam, can you believe that?” No, i don’t believe anything anymore).

I like to ask hard questions, like Sai and Tom – that’s why I endorsed them and voted for them. While the questions seem to be incessant, we are being thrown hundreds of pages of changes to policy and curriculum each and every month before board meetings.

I have offered conversations, in person, with just about every Board member and been turned down. Why? We’ve heard Mr. D’Aquila complain that between work and his family commitments he just doesn’t have the time to answer questions when asked. Which begs the question, if you don’t have time to answer emails, do you have time to do your job as our elected Representative?

Actually that’s a good question for all six members on the BOE wall of anger and silence committee.

I think 7 months is more than enough time to compile answers or at least have a moment to reply, don’t you?

So instead of throwing volumes of policies at parents, many times less than 48 hours before a meeting THEN not answering questions and THEN retweeting comments asking why parents are taking to social media on your “Board Authorized Account” …..

AND THEN plastering your social media pages with positive images of our athletes (whose accomplishments you have nothing to do with) to drown out the articles of the multiple ethics complaints about you (pretty sad) maybe open up your “Board Authorized Email Account” and answer some questions.
