Committee Meeting Minutes, Executive Session Minutes and Board Correspondence for September 2023
Here are the Committee Meeting minutes for September 2023 that we asked for on October 13, 2023. The time frame for OPRA is seven business days. It took two months for BHCW to receive these documents.
Of note were the RFP’s approved by the Finance Committee that we wrote about earlier this month.
Here is the original OPRA request we submitted and the District’s response to illustrate how OPRA requests are split into pieces. This practice lends credibility to the suspicion that the District is inflating the number of requests by splitting up OPRA requests and counting each item as a separate request to justify violating the law. If the Township did this, its OPRA Count would be around 5 billion.
The Executive Session Minutes probably connects to an article we published with regard to more drama on the legal front.
Under Board Correspondence, you will also notice the District only provided one item (one month after the request was made)
What was not included is an email sent to the BOE on questions regarding the election policies. It appears that the District is inappropriately screening emails to which it does not want the public to access. How many other emails have been hidden, and is the District setting itself up for one more lawsuit in connection to First Amendment violations?
