Berkeley Heights Town CouncilBerkeley Heights Town GovernmentTown Council Agenda and Meeting Summary

This article continues our review of the last three council meetings, which saw seven different versions of the agendas, a flurry of high-cost resolutions, and the dissolution of the local ethics board.

In our first article, we highlighted the Mayor and Council’s approval of a $30,000 contract for a Public Relations firm that describes itself as being “at the center of NJ’s political structure” and has contributed at least $150,000 to New Jersey political campaigns.

Our second article examined over $400,000 in taxpayer funds awarded to eight law firms, all linked to a combined $829,000 in political contributions across the state.

Now, we turn our attention to an additional $865,000 allocated to nine companies—businesses that, collectively, have contributed over $1 million to New Jersey political campaigns.

In this final installment of our review of the last three Town Council meetings, we see over $1 million in taxpayer funds allocated to eighteen firms and companies—businesses linked to nearly $2 million in political contributions to New Jersey campaigns.

As with our previous articles, it’s important to note that the actual total of political contributions is likely much higher than what we’ve reported.

This analysis represents only a sampling from each firm, based on publicly available records. To be included, contributions had to have a clear and verifiable connection to the firm—either through the company’s name or an individual employee’s name and address listed in official filings.
