The fact that our superintendent STILL doesn’t have answers to most of these questions and others that are now arising connected to what is turning into the ironic outcome of an obvious inequity at Hughes and Mountain Park is disturbing.
If the plan is supported by education experts and research they shouldn’t have to “dig”, and should know the answers.
The fact that they don’t know is yet more evidence to the lack of care and diligence behind this reconfiguration of our elementary schools. Also NOT answering our questions repeatedly with relevant answers proves the Superintendent’s plan is beyond flawed, it is not balancing classes or making our schools equitable ( as agreed by Dr Varley at the last BOE meeting on May 13 2021 (see link at https://youtu.be/cQ3p7elow is my sJCr_Y?t=7631)
Also, this plan has moved 50 educators around without cause and no impact analysis shared with parents.
Three parents reached out to Dr. Varely with regard to unanswered questions, this is the response they received:
Response to Laura Kapuscinski on May 18 2021
Response to Dipti Khanna on May 18 2021
Response to me on May 18 2021
One of my responses to Mr. Reinstein after receiving this canned reply:

Thank you for your response Mr. Reinstein.
As indicated by your response at the BOE meeting on April 29 2021 the Board of Ed members role is advisory and consultative to provide oversight. So why are you getting involved in day to day administration and operations by responding to questions addressed to Dr.Varley?
Per my interpretation of BOE goals and bylaws the superintendent is responsible for administration including day to day operations (after a quick review of the policy book and BHPS site).
The BOE sets strategy, goals, direction, budget, negotiates with teachers and importantly provides oversight of the superintendent including responsibility to consider, review, and approve the superintendent’s broad actions.
If yes, why are parents getting canned responses with the exact same words from Dr Varley and you in response to many emails they have sent? (See attached emails) Please advise.
Thank you,
Sai Bhargavi
