I met Angie in 2016, as I walked into my first PTO meeting at Mountain Park. During her time as President she ran organized, detail-oriented and engaging meetings.  There was not a hurdle she did not surpass or a task that was “too much.” She made time for every person and addressed every comment, question and concern with care and commitment. Angie’s strong leadership and interpersonal skills have defined her Mayorship.

It didn’t matter that I was a Republican, nor did it matter that I had never voted for a Democrat – I wasn’t supporting politics, I was supporting and continue to support Angie Devanney; someone I knew could bring about positive change while leading our community with poise, kindness and a work-ethic unrivaled to any other.  Her compassion for our town, but moreover, this community is why we need 4 more years of her as our Mayor.   She has managed this town (and her family, her friendships and her growing brood of puppies) with grace, fortitude and passion.  Beginning to fix our storm drainage, saving our money through hard fiscal planning, efficient shares services, celebrating people at every possible opportunity are just some of the positive attributes Angie has contributed to her term and to our community – and, they have nothing to do with politics – it’s the job and Angie is good at it. Really good!

Angie has led with her heart and is the best person to continue as Mayor of Berkeley Heights.  She cares about everyone and everything that happens in our town.  Angie has been the most effective, transparent and most ardent Mayor we have ever had.  I look forward to seeing what the future has in store with Angie as our leader.
