THANK YOU, Berkeley Heights!

First and foremost, thank you to the Berkeley Heights voters for your support and confidence in me.

From my Mama Squad, softball Dad brigade to the many Democrats, Republicans, and Independents who took the time to vote, my most humble gratitude. To the text groups who kept me laughing daily, with funny videos, silly jokes and even-keeled perspective (and you know who you all are), you will never know how much your support helped with the tough days. My Town Hall family, and especially Liza Viana, also deserves a special acknowledgement for keeping the cogs churning and doing a superior job for our residents.

To my family who always takes the brunt of the campaigns and the mayoral workload, I am indebted to you. Ryan– thank you for raising Abbey the last 60 days. Abbey- thank you for the special hugs on those bleak days. And especially George—The First Dude of Berkeley Heights, Campaign Manager and best friend for always being my rock. I love you all so very much.

It is humbling to have been the first directly elected woman of Berkeley Heights in 2018, but it is equally humbling to be the first mayor to be re-elected to a second term—a fact that I did not realize until former Mayor Joe Bruno pointed it out this morning when exchanging texts.

It’s been a difficult 4 years, but I look forward to the wonderful things that can happen in the next 4 years. If you voted for me, or if you did not, rest assured I will work equally hard for every resident to make Berkeley Heights better when we work together.

To all the candidates who ran for Board of Education, Town Council & Mayor, Congress, County Commissioner and Surrogate, congratulations. Campaigning is difficult on your family life, professional life and your government/Town Hall life.

I’m ready! Let’s embark on the next chapter, Berkeley Heights!
